Lactic acid

Looking after kids… A weary trudge home on Friday

Lactic Acid

The monkeys descend from the Haribo trees

Leaping from sofa branch to branch

Scratching their noses

Baring their teeth

Hanging off you limb from limb

Drawing blood and wiping tears

While dipping in and out

Of the river of creativity

Pressure on your pins mounts and pins you

As step by weary step

We cross the chasm of the train station

I always prefer leaving downhill

If my utility belt will provide me a cup of tea

And a ready made sigh

The collapse from atlas to armchair

Will be swift and heavy

Happy weekend
Sloth out
